Originally founded in the Poblenou neighbourhood in the 1980s, it was relaunched in 2015 under an 'honest food' concept, eliminating industrial products like branded soft drinks, removing fish from the menu after concluding that sustainable options were unavailable, sourcing whole animals from ethical local farms, and using food as a communication tool to raise customer awareness about the food system.
