La Calma (Can Calma) is a fully off-grid restaurant located in a 14th-century farmhouse at 1,000 metres altitude in the Montseny Natural Park, one hour from Barcelona. Owned by the Diputació de Barcelona and managed since 2004 by Clarisenda — an economist — and her partner Ignazi, a chef, the restaurant operates entirely on solar energy and rainwater, with no grid connections. Over two decades, it evolved from a traditional Catalan mountain restaurant into a benchmark for sustainable gastronomy: today it offers an exclusively set six-course tasting menu at €45, built around products from approximately 20 local and organic producers in the Vallès and Osona regions. La Calma is a co-presidency member of Slow Food Catalonia and has received awards from the Europark European sustainable tourism network and the Reserva de la Biosfera Montseny.
