La platjeta

La Platjeta is a family fishing business based in Barcelona's Barceloneta neighbourhood, operating two trawler boats and a direct-sales distribution arm that supplies around 30–40 restaurants, consumer cooperatives, schools, and private customers with traceable fresh fish. Founded around 2006 by the Caparrós family as a response to generational transition and the growing disconnection between Barcelona's urban consumers and local seafood, it is one of the few operations in the city offering guaranteed provenance from Barcelona-based boats.
