Koren Foundation

Koren Foundation is a non-governmental organisation that actively supports the development of urban gardening and composting in Sofia. Its projects include support for creating urban gardens in the spaces between residential buildings and in schools, training in home composting, a campaign to save the chestnut trees in the central Sofia district of Oborishte, and seed exchanges. Koren also maintains a national online platform for sustainable practices, working to promote them not only in agriculture but also in architecture, culture and education. Its goals are to preserve and improve natural resources, landscapes, biodiversity and people's quality of life.
