Mam'Ayoka

Mam'yaoka is a project born out of a neighborhood initiative. Launched in 2015, the project grew out of a desire to create sustainable jobs for talented women in the culinary field. It first developed in associative form in the 19th arrondissement, later becoming a cooperative and opening its first restaurant in February 2016. The cooperative was chosen to raise capital from those committed to the project and to enable employees to participate in the management of the business. The initial aim was to involve all project stakeholders, especially employees, in running the company's operations. So, from a small local project in the 19th arrondissement, a restaurant was born in the 18th arrondissement, near Porte de la Chapelle.
