Slow Food Uganda

Slow Food is a global grassroots organization dedicated to promoting access to good, clean and fair food. Founded in 1989 in Italy and established in Uganda in 2015, it focuses on defending biodiversity, educating communities about sustainable food systems and advocating for fair practices. Through various initiatives, such as community gardens, farmers' markets and local food alliances, Slow Food empowers smallholder farmers and fosters a culture of responsible consumption and agroecology.
